The choir at Epworth is an integral part of church life, leading the congregation in worship each week. The choir performs a variety of repertoire, ranging from classic choral literature to more contemporary works. Rehearsals are held each Wednesday evening at 7:00pm. Membership in the choir is open to anyone with a "blendable" singing voice. Please contact Tim Ellison for more information.
The Epworth Band leads the worship service at 5:00pm, offering worshippers the opportunity to experience God's love through praise and worship in a relaxed atmosphere. The band also provides music for Epworth's seasonal outdoor worship services.
Tim Ellison is the Music Director at Epworth. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Religion from Liberty University and a Bachelor of Science in Music Education from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He has completed graduate work at Georgia Southern University and Duquesne University. His professional affiliations include: Georgia Music Educators Association (GMEA), National Association for Music Education (MENC), National Education Association (NEA), and the Georgia Association of Educators (GAE). Mr. Ellison is a native of Chattanooga, Tennessee. A few of his hobbies include: world religions, playing piano, spending time with friends and family, and cooking.
Dotti Croker is the accompanist at Epworth. She received an Associate of Arts from Mars Hill Junior College and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Bob Jones University. Dotti has served as an accompanist for various churches and the director of several performing ensembles. She has been at Epworth since 1997. She is the past president of the Jubalheirs, a women's choral organization sponsored by the Georgia Baptist Association. Dotti is a world traveler and a master of card making.

Rob's musical career began as he listened and became one of his grandmother's piano students. He was also influences by his father's Segovia records. Rob has been playing guitar since the age of 13 and by the age of 15 had joined his first band. Throughout the 1970's he performed with various groups and did solo performances in Georgia and around the southeast. Rob also performed under Michael O'Neil's direction in the North Georgia College Chorale and Choral Ensemble. He then put his public music on hold until his classical guitar debut with "Alan Horn and Friends" at The Monroe Arts Center in 2004. In addition, Rob was asked to join the Wild at Heart Band and later formed the Bluesheart Band with Dave Benson, Vernon Eaves, and Bob Winstead. Rob, with his colleagues, has performed all over North Georgia in various venues such as the Candler Park Festival as well as various clubs. Bluesheart released its first album in 2006, entitled "Heart for the Blues". Rob contributed an original work to the project entitled "Spoon in the Puddin". Rob plans to release a solo album of original tunes in the summer of 2009.
Charlie has been playing guitar with various musical ensembles since 1964. Charlie is a gifted musician, playing various genres in each of his performance venues. He is an avid gardener and enjoys every aspect of nature. He also enjoys music of all genres.
John is a native of Decatur, Georgia and began playing classical guitar (off and on) in his late teens. He began playing the bass guitar in February of 2008. John has been a member of Epworth since 1976. John is a "manservant" to four cats: Giaparro, Orion, Tiger, and The Dude.
Lonny grew up attending Epworth. He attended many BBQ's, flea markets and Easter Egg hunts as a child; after leaving the church during high school and college, Lonny and his wife felt called to return to Epworth to help start an alternative worship service. From playing percussion in the Epworth Band to helping with the organization of the Epworth Screen on the Green events, Lonny and his family are using their talents and interests to help Epworth grow.
